Depression and insomnia
Depression and insomnia are both indispensable to each other as insomnia occurs when depression sometimes becomes root cause. Depression can lead to sleepless nights and create health disorder.
Symptoms of insomnia
A large section of people that is eighty percent suffer from insomnia and thus awakening in early morning becomes very general symptoms of insomnia. Other indications of the disease include health disorder, restlessness, depressed sleep, sleep disturbances. In total about fifteen percent people suffer from miserable sleep. Sometimes ageing is also treated as the effect of insomnia. Thus it seems that both insomnia and depression are inter linked with each other.
Symptoms of Depression
In other words insomnia can be the symptoms of depression rather it is treated as the indication of disorder. Depression and insomnia is referred as the combination of both performance and chemistry. If proper sleep is done then depression takes place very easily and lead to health disruption. Other symptoms of depression like set back, frustration, grief, failure of interests in every day behavior and activities, helplessness mood, agitation, irritability, self loathing, less of concentration, headaches or pains. Thus in depression the activity of sleep is shattered and leads to insomnia and sometimes can create nervous problem.
Types of depressions
Depressions can take place at any age especially in the teen age, in older adults and even depression can take place both in men and women. There are various types of depression like Major Depression, Seasonal Affective Disorder, Atypical Depression, Dysthymia and Postpartum Depression. There are other risk aspects of depression which can lead to be deficient in social support, lonesomeness, married or bond problems, traumatic life occurrence, hereditary in depression, fiscal tension, chronic pain, premature childhood distress or maltreatment, Alcohol exploitation, Unemployment problem. All the symptoms categorized under different section of depression.
Treatment for depression
There are various treatment procedures for depression like through medicine which can bring proper sleep and reduce depression and can kill insomnia. Positive thinking and keeping oneself in good social work is regarded as the best self help method of treatment for depression. These treatments require the support of the family and friends as they could encourage the victim to lead a purposeful life with love and smile without anxiety or tension and also can advice to reduce the habit of alcoholism if addicted. When the patient is under medication it should keep noticed that it does not become the habit of the patient to take the medicine regularly and in order to stop this, the medicine consumption should be stopped after six to four weeks.
Treatment for Insomnia
A variety of treatments are there to cure insomnia. Proper environment should be created for sleep and the sleep should be done at proper hours without any tension, thinking and anxiety in mind. Depressions are to be reduced and proper work should be done at day time so that the nerves need to be relaxed. It should be kept in mind that too much of work pressure can lead to insomnia so workload should at ease in order to get proper sleep tension free from work pressure. Medication are applied but should be stooped after a while so that addiction does not take place and should be consumed in proper time. Empty stomach also leads to insomnia so stomach should be full with dinner at proper time to get proper sleep.
Both depression and insomnia are curable and it cannot be treated as the disease because it prevented before it occurs noticing the symptoms.
